OPEN POSITION: LEAD BARTENDER
 

Black & Tan Hall (B&TH) is currently seeking an experienced Lead Bartender to infuse our team and guests with their unique perspective, expertise, and professional energy as we open our doors. As the Lead Bartender, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager to maintain operational excellence at the bar while consistently upholding service and quality standards at B&TH, South Seattle’s newest performing arts venue and cultural space.
 

This role encompasses key responsibilities, including setting up and dismantling the bar, support the F&B team during bar operations to ensure cleanliness, efficiency, and an inviting atmosphere for customers. Primary duties involve prepping, stocking, inventory support, menu collaboration, managing customer concerns, and ensuring a well-stocked bar inventory suitable for various events.
 

The ideal candidate will embody or develop a deep familiarity with B&TH's mission, vision, and values. B&TH takes its name from original Black and Tan clubs in Seattle between the 1920s and 1960s, where people from different racial backgrounds could gather to socialize despite segregation. 

 

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and range from $20-25 /hr.

OPEN POSITION: MARKETING FELLOW

 

B&TH is currently seeking a new member to join our marketing team. As Marketing Fellow, you'll play a pivotal role in promoting arts and cultural programming at B&TH, South Seattle’s newest performing arts venue and cultural space.

 

This is a part-time position (20 hours/week). Marketing Fellow responsibilities will include creating content, stewarding social media accounts, and coordinating between the event planning and marketing teams. Deep roots in the Seattle community and experience in promotional, graphic design, or marketing roles are preferred for this position. The ideal candidate will be interested in building leadership skills within B&TH with the goal of transitioning to directing marketing activities. 

 

The ideal candidate will also embody or develop a deep familiarity with B&TH's mission, vision, and values. B&TH takes its name from original Black and Tan clubs in Seattle between the 1920s and 1960s, where people from different racial backgrounds could gather to socialize despite segregation. 

 

Compensation will be commensurate with experience, approximately $30/hr.
