Black & Tan Hall is OPENING September 23 with our first event hosted by Dyme Designs.
In this first phase of opening, partner organizations will host public or private events at the Hall.
We are thrilled B&TH’s first public event will be hosted by one of our business’ Good Job Fellows! In 2019, we launched the Good Jobs Fellowship, a training program for young people to get practical, hands-on experience running a business in the Arts. Christina Chan has been with us since the beginning of this program, and recently transitioned into a position as B&TH Marketing Strategist. She built and maintains our beautiful website. Christina is a second-generation business owner, jewelry designer, and is curating an incredible vendor market featuring artisans of her community on September 23rd!

Is the Hall available for rentals?
YES! We’re taking rental inquiries at blackandtanhall.com/event-inquiry - but note that our liquor permit is still in process, and so unless renters obtain a banquet license we will be serving mocktails only during Phase One of our opening.
What is the capacity of the venue?
We will have a cap of 180 people for events.
Do you have a sound system?
Yes, our sound system is robust, and equipped to host speakers, bands, DJs, and other live performances. Fill out the rental inquiry form for more information: blackandtanhall.com/events.
What happens in future phases of the Hall’s opening process?
Thanks for asking! We are approaching the phases along these lines:
Phase 1: Public and private rentals take place for events, meetings, and other gatherings.
Phase 2: The Hall opens for regular hours (likely Thursday - Saturday evenings) while continuing to offer rentals. Current estimated timeline: early 2024.
Phase 3: The Hall’s upstairs mezzanine is transformed from a storage space into additional, multi-purpose space for community! Learn more at blackandtanhall.com/support.
